I’m Yolanda Testani, a CRPO Registered Psychotherapist with nearly 20 years of experience. I hold a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology, a graduate degree from The Toronto Art Therapy Institute, a Bachelor’s in Psychology from York University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Concordia University. Additionally, I’ve completed specialized training in Perinatal Mood Disorders through Postpartum Support International.
My journey began working with children, using Art Therapy as my main therapeutic tool. Over time, I transitioned to working with adults, couples, and families, employing an attachment framework and psychodynamic model. My approach is integrative and client-centered, blending evidence-based techniques like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic therapy to help clients find emotional balance and well-being.
I’ve worked with people facing challenges like grief, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship discord, and difficulties related to parenting. Whether you're struggling with personal issues, navigating a tough transition, or facing partnership conflicts, I’m here to support you on your path toward healing.
In addition to individual and couples therapy, I offer adult family therapy to help families improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen relationships across generations. I focus on empathy and use tailored techniques to address underlying patterns and foster healthier boundaries.
I’ve also spent several years supervising master’s-level students training to become therapists here in Ontario.
On a personal note, I’m a mom to twin tweens and a few fur babies—yes, all boys!

I work with individuals navigating life transitions, managing anxiety, and strengthening relationships. I’m energized by clients who are curious, engaged, and ready to explore their inner worlds. Whether you’re seeking clarity, overcoming challenges, or finding your spark, I create a safe, supportive space to guide your journey toward self-discovery and growth.
My passion for mental health was shaped by personal and volunteer experiences, including time spent on an inpatient mental health unit. These moments deepened my empathy and commitment to supporting others. Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time with family, playing soccer, cooking, and traveling. Like my clients, I embrace life’s ups and downs and strive to maintain a balanced, fulfilling life. In our sessions, you’ll find a warm, nonjudgmental environment tailored to your needs. Together, we’ll explore your thoughts and emotions, celebrate your progress, and develop practical coping strategies. I integrate techniques like active listening, mindfulness, and evidence-based approaches, ensuring each session aligns with your goals. I believe in fostering trust, encouraging open dialogue, and empowering you to lead the way at your own pace.
