A bit about me

I began my career almost 20 years ago working with children, primarily using Art Therapy. Today, I work with adults, couples, and families, integrating an attachment framework with psychodynamic principles. My approach is client-centered and integrative, drawing on evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness, and parts work. I guide clients in exploring their emotions, understanding patterns, and building practical tools to foster emotional balance, personal growth, and healthier relationships.

I also work with adult families to improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen relationships across generations. Together, we explore underlying patterns, establish healthy boundaries, and support each member in expressing their needs constructively. My goal is to help families heal past wounds, build resilience, and create stronger, more connected relationships.

In addition, I supervise master-level students training to become therapists in Ontario, supporting their growth and development in the field.

I’m also a mom to twin teens and our fur babies—all boys!

When I’m not working with clients, I spend time at home with my husband, teens and our fur babies, enjoying walks, exploring parks, and soaking up the outdoors. I’ve always loved the arts—music, literature, films, and find joy in creative expression whenever I can. I’m a lifelong learner and enjoy reading both fiction and non-fiction, though I have a soft spot for anything sci-fi.

Lately, I feel most fulfilled when I can balance my work, family, and personal time in a way that supports my well-being. My focus is on cultivating mindfulness, self-compassion, and authenticity in both my life and my work. I’m passionate about helping clients do the same, creating space to explore thoughts, emotions, and relationships in a meaningful and practical way.
